I've been using the M20 for more than 5 years, it has given me a very reliable performance in all these years, and is very likely to give me many more years of solid use. For once I'd thought I no longer need to buy anything from the Markins, and here they come out with some very interesting new accessories that really appeal to me.
The Tripod Hub TH-200, this is specifically made for the Gitzo Series 2 tripods. The idea is to remove the tripod legs and fit them onto the Hub. The Hub is cut from a single block of airplane grade duralumin and weighs 175g, and to top it all off, the Hub is greenish in color which really adds some spice to a dull boring tripod. You can find the installation instruction here
I am using the Gitzo 1227, and had removed the center column and mounted the Markins TB20 to enhance the overall stability. With the new Hub TH-20, I can remove the tripod base completely and actually lower the height a bit. But the biggest advantage is the weight, photography is much more comfortable if we could reduce the weight even by a little, this little Hub serves this purpose extremely well.
