I wish to make the DcHome Review a little more diversified. By heading slightly towards "Lifestyle", and all the while keeping photography as our primal focus. The term "Lifestyle" has been broadly used, maybe it's a marketing gimmick, or maybe it is something we all seek in our daily life, a get away if you like, from our repetitive day in and day out.
So what is Lifestyle?
Some would say food, others would insist on clothing. Most would argue lifestyle is about wining and dinning, sipping coffee while scrambling through our favorite iPad, cars, hi fi, and of course watches !! I tend to believe lifestyle is an attitude, it's a state of mental form which materializes into a physical object. I won't dig deeper into this thought in order to safe you the boredom.
Panerai, in my opinion, has done an excellent job in promoting the brand. About 15 or more so years ago, the local market was basically dominated by Rolex, IWC, Cartier, Tudor etc., and in all honesty, only a small minority would treasure a Panerai watch back in the days. After a decade or so, Panerai has successfully managed to make a solid stand in the luxury watch sector of not only in Hong Kong, but globally. No matter if you prefer the Rolex or other watches, you would still know Panerai. This is truly a remarkable achievement under the subject of "Brand Marketing".
Panerai Boutique, has officially been in Hong Kong for 10 years. Not excessively long period, but enough to gather a large crowd of Panerai enthusiasts. To celebrate, they are having a 10th Anniversary Exhibition at the following:
Date: 4th Oct, 2012 to 9th October 2012
Time: 11:00 - 20:00
Venue: Landmark Atrium, Central
Those of you who are curious what the fuss is all about, and are also curious if a 44mm watch is too small or too big, this might be a rare opportunity to see all different Panerai watches under one same roof.
I will sneak into the Exhibition later this afternoon, and hopefully snap some images for me to upload here. So stay put |
