There are a lot of brands focusing on making leather accessories for the cameras, and a lot of them are of excellent quality and design.
Among the many, I find the American made Gordy's strap to be of different caliber.
Gordy is well known among the Leica users across the world for its durability and strength, this I have to agree as I've been an user for almost 2 years. The best thing about this strap is it has no sharp edges to scratch the camera body, and the leather does in deed get better with more extensive use.
Pro:
1. No hard object on the strap to potentially scratch the camera body
2. Reasonable price (~$170)
3. The waxed polyester string would fit almost all camera types, and it is extremely strong

Con:
1. the wrist strap itself has no complex design or pattern, making it look boring after a period of time
2. the waxed string does psychologically appear to be weaker than the metal ring, and it is prone to cuts when against sharp edges.
I have encountered friends asking me what the actual load of this strap is, and my standard answer is "it can withstand the load that you can practically carry in a camera"
